Joanne Tunna

Chief Executive Officer

Jo is the Chief Executive Officer of CAA and brings over 15 years of experience across government, not-for-profit and private sectors. She has a breadth of expertise spanning strategy, project management, business development, and corporate sustainability.

Jo is dedicated to working with impact-driven organisations to decarbonise our food system and has been focused on accelerating the development of alternative proteins since joining Cellular Agriculture Australia in 2021. Jo holds significant knowledge and networks across the Australian cellular agriculture ecosystem, having been involved in CAA since its very early days.

Before becoming CEO in September 2026, Jo held senior leadership roles at CAA including Chief Operating Officer and Chief Program Officer.
